The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating an early morning homicide in New Carrollton. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was random. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.
On September 15, 2015, at about 2:45 am, officers with the New Carrollton Police Department responded to the 5400 block of 85th Avenue for the report of a man lying outside. The man was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to identify a motive and suspect(s) in this case.
