The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Largo earlier this morning. The victim is 28-year-old Trashawn Haggins of Gibson Street in Falls Church, VA.
On July 20th, at about 6:30 am, patrol officers were called to White House Road near Harry S. Truman Drive for the report of a crash involving a dump truck.
The preliminary investigation reveals Haggins was heading eastbound on White House Road when for reasons which remain under investigation, she appears to have lost control of the truck while on a curve. The dump truck ultimately struck a utility pole. Haggins was pronounced dead on the scene.
