The Prince George’s County Police Department was notified that an officer tested positive for COVID-19. This is second officer to test positive. In keeping with medical privacy laws, no additional information will be released on the officer’s identity.
The department has reached out to those who may have had recent contact with the officer.
“Our thoughts are with both of our officers who have now tested positive. We wish them both well and have offered them our full support,” said Chief Hank Stawinski.
A deep cleaning of the officer’s work space will take place today.
