The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit would like to speak to anyone who witnessed or has information on a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in Capitol Heights on Tuesday night. The deceased pedestrian is 47-year-old Keith Anthony Warren of Washington DC.
On November 17, 2020 at about 8:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the 1700 block of Kenilworth Avenue for a report of a pedestrian collision. Once on scene, they discovered Warren unresponsive in the roadway. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation reveals, Warren was walking in the southbound lanes of Kenilworth Avenue when he was stuck by an unknown vehicle traveling southbound. Preliminary investigation reveals, Warren was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision. The driver of the striking vehicle did not remain on the scene.
The striking vehicle is described as a black or dark-colored SUV or sedan with damage to the front and side of the driver’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle lost its driver’s side mirror during the collision.
