In an effort to reduce violent crime, County Executive Angela Alsobrooks announced the Hope in Action Anti-Violence Project. The program will strengthen peace efforts in the county by helping reduce violent crime through collaboration with law enforcement and community stakeholders.
The Hope in Action Anti-Violence Project Fund will provide grants up to $50,000 to non-profit organizations who service Prince George’s County residents and have a physical address or location in either Prince George’s County or Washington, DC. Eligible non-profit organizations that support programming in youth mentoring, diversion programming, after-school enrichment services, and employment services are encouraged to apply by January 14, 2022.
