Updated August 24, 2013: The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person of interest seen in the above surveillance photograph. He is wanted for questioning in this assault.
The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating an assault in College Park.
On August 24, 2013, at about 1:30 am, patrol officers were called to the 4600 block of College Avenue for the report of a cutting. Upon arrival, patrol officers found a man suffering from a laceration to his upper body. The victim is a student at the University of Maryland. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released.
The preliminary investigation suggests the victim and suspect began to argue after encountering each other on College Avenue. The argument became physical, and the two men began fighting. During the fight, the suspect cut the victim with a sharp object. The suspect then ran away.
The suspect is described as a white male with a slim build and blond hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
